Bringing A Queer Space To Aberystwyth
Our Vision

In Ceredigion, there are a few groups and some events, but no dedicated spaces for the LGBTQ community to gather, socialise, get information and support or just a cup of coffee in a trans-friendly space.I would like to change this and bring a space to Aberystwyth that can serve as a hub for LGBTQ people, events and groups. We would sell products for and by LGBTQ people, have a small cafe, and host groups and whatever the community feels they want and need. Hopefully, in time this could include clothes swaps, mutual aid, advice services and more. There are a ton of empty shops in Aberystwyth that could be used by us.It takes money though. We are applying for grants, but anything you can give to help us get set up would be amazing. We need rent, fixtures and fittings, furniture, stock, a coffee machine, more...It's all still in planning but if we can get off the ground then we can start to build.
About Us
I'm Ren, the main director of Queer Little Space.
I organised Pride In Aberystwyth this year and also run Queer Little Shop. You've probably seen me around Aber, at pride, at the Farmer's Market or just on my lunch break.I have two other directors, and we are CIC - a community interest company. Basically it's half way between a company and a charity. We can apply for grants and be grant funded this way and also work as a non-profit, putting money back into the company and the community.
